While snow was falling over the UK this February, Red Bucket were in the south of Spain shooting in Spaghetti Western territory: Almeria. We were making a film for an organisation that is really making waves in the medical world (but must remain top secret for the time being – hence our elusive title!). We had quite a challenge on our hands as not only were we dealing with a sensitive subject matter and very poorly contributors – we had the language barrier to contend with. While we had a fantastic Spanish Producer on the team, one thing we were reminded of when shooting observationally in particular, is how truth and emotion transcend verbal language. Many a documentary camera person has shot in countries and environments where they might not understand a single word of the language being spoken, but body language and facial expressions tell so much more of the story than we often give credit to.
“Clair and the Red Bucket team are a delight to work with, and have never disappointed over the years we have worked together. All the programmes we have commissioned have been of the highest quality and represent excellent value for money.
Clair is a very accomplished and personable Director whose passion for the medium shines through in her enthusiasm, her creativity, her pursuit of excellence and her attention to detail.
Her ability to dig deep into the subject matter, find and then focus on the emotion held within and then bring that to the fore with her expert production team always ensures that the client receives the best possible end-product – a programme charged with emotion where appropriate and capable of delivering real stand-out moments for the viewer.
Nothing we have asked of Red Bucket has been problematic. Any edits are undertaken swiftly and all communications have been friendly and informative.
We have no compunction at all in recommending Red Bucket for all your filming and editing needs.”
