Companies like Google, Amazon and Nestle all allow employees to bring their dogs to work, and so at Red Bucket Pictures, we have responded to this rather lovely movement in by inviting our own furry friends to work alongside us on occassion. Lottie (a 4 month old golden doodle puppy) has settled into the Guild so well that people are now complaining when she’s not there to greet them! And we’re convinced her presence is better for our productivity in general. According to a 2017 study by the University of Central Michigan, when given a problem-solving task, behaviour in dog-present working groups was found to be “more cooperative, comfortable, friendly, active, enthusiastic, and attentive”. Alongside Lottie, Mr Pickles the miniature poodle is also a regular team-member at Red Bucket and they have helped to create and maintain a friendly office-environment. They offer support and morale, and the dogs of course, love all of the attention!
